The Transit Optimization Study recommended two potential Orangeville Transit route structures based out of two different transit terminal locations (transfer points). Alternative 1 proposes a new route structure from the proposed Westdale Mall Transit Terminal.

► Addition of three routes (6 routes in total) ► All routes converge at a new transit terminal at Westdale Mall, west Broadway ► Two routes provide service every 20 minutes to major destinations (The Orange and Yellow Route) ► Travel times are shorter (all routes have a maximum 20 minute round trip time) ► More route options, however, certain routes may be less frequent (40 minutes) ► Two-way service provided on Broadway every 20 minutes ► Better and more direct service to Headwaters Health Care Centre (peak service every 20 minutes) ► Most routes are timed to meet at the Westdale Mall terminal every 20 to 40 minutes. May have to wait 20 minutes at the terminal when transferring between: ■ Green and Blue Route; and ■ Purple and Red Route ► Two routes access the following destinations every 20 minutes: ■ Orangeville Mall / Walmart ■ Alder Street Recreation Centre/Westside Secondary School ■ Orangeville District Secondary School/Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre ■ Westside Market, Riddell Road ■ Westdale Mall (six routes) ► Extended evening service (20 to 40 minute frequency between 6:15pm to 9:45pm ► Saturday service (40 minute frequency)
